OMOH
Established in 1979, the Russian special force ‘OMOH’, also known as ‘Black Berets’ or ‘Mafia Killer’ in Russia was meant to prevent any terrorist attacks in the 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics following the unfortunate events of the “Munich Massacre” which transpired in 1972 Olympics.

Previously an anti-riot police division the OMOH has spread its function to a wider range of operations including combating organized crime and terrorists. Its members are comprised of former soldiers of the Soviet Army and Veterans of the Soviet-Afghanistan war. One of the notable achievements was in 2002, when the OMOH successfully thwarted the Moscow theater hostage crisis by Chechen rebels.
